Black White

Switch box #2 has 1)black,white,red 2)black ,white 3) black, white. How do I wire all onto a 3 way switch?
I'm replacing the switches to the Hall light, Switch #1 has 2 wires (black, red, white) and (black, white). Switch #2 has 3 wires (black, red, white), (black, white) and (black, white). How do I connect all the wires on Switch #2? I'm using a 3 way switch, is this correct?
If you have a meter, you should check to see where you are getting power. I am going to assume (silly me) that the box with three wires is the power source. I only assume because there are two 2 wires with the three wire which probably means power in, power out plus the 3 wire. If that is the case, pigtail the blacks from the two 2 wires together and place the pigtail on the black or "common" screw of the 3 way switch. Take the red from the three wire and put it under one of the brass screws and take the black from the three wire and place it under the other brass screw. Twist and wirenut the three whites together. In box #1 the whites should be twisted and wirenuted together, the black from the two wire is under the black or "common" screw and the black and red wires from the three wire are under the brass screws. Understand, this is ASSUMING the power source is at box #2...Hope this helps....
